Talia
Talia joined the team in June 2026 and works as a Silicone Technician based at the Ringwood Clinic. She supports the Silicone team through colour matching, swatch creation and the manufacture of easy-fit prostheses, helping to produce personalised products for patients.
Before joining the team, Talia worked on a variety of film and special effects projects in London and Bournemouth, specialising in prosthetics and special effects make-up. She also worked as an Optical Advisor, where she gained experience in customer care, preliminary eye scans and lens recommendations. Additionally, she has volunteered within the marine biology industry.
Talia studied Makeup for Media and Performance at Arts University Bournemouth, graduating with a First-Class degree. During her studies, she specialised in areas including silicone prosthetics, mould making, fibreglass work, wig making and hairpieces. She also holds a Level 6 Optical Advisor qualification and has completed training in IPL and Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).
Talia has always enjoyed creative and practical work, which led her to develop an interest in the prosthetics industry. In her current role, she enjoys working on detailed projects and finds it rewarding to know that the products she helps create will have a positive impact on patients' lives. She is also motivated by the opportunities to continue developing her skills and knowledge.
Outside of work, Talia enjoys drawing and working on creative projects. She also contributes illustrations for educational animation programmes and is a keen cold-water sea dipper.
